There is many different types of transformers are available and they
classified according to the following:
1- method
of cooling

Self- air -cooling (dry type).

Air – blast cooling (dry type).
·
Liquid immersed, self cooling.
·
Oil immersed combination self cool and air
blast.
2- Insulation
between winding.
3- Number
of phases.
And there are many things should be also taking into consideration.
Choosing of
transformer room
In this factory we
will choose the transformer room in the center of the loads because this choice
economically, because that decreases the losses due to decreasing the distance
which carry large current to the loads because the losses power determine by P
losses = I^2 * R. There for increasing
the current will increase the loss power also the cost of the cable which
carries the large current will increase. So for economical operations
transformer room must be in the center of the loads.
